Handling of the coronavirus at Veiling Rhein-Maas

5 March 2020

The development and spread of the coronavirus is currently receiving a lot of attention in the media. Veiling Rhein-Maas is in close contact with both parent organisations Landgard and Royal FloraHolland in order to protect the health of all our employees, customers and suppliers. We would like to point out that the auction and all related processes and activities at the marketplace in Straelen-Herongen will be carried out as usual.

Protect yourself and your surroundings
As with influenza and other respiratory illnesses, a sufficient hand hygiene and awareness when coughing and sneezing as well as keeping a distance to other persons (about 1 to 2 meters) protect against the transmission of the coronavirus. Also in consideration of the wave of influenza, the described measures are advisable everywhere and at all times.

Keep us up to date
Please inform us if you or one of your employees that has visited our site in Straelen-Herongen has been diagnosed with an infection. In this case, please contact the management of Veiling Rhein-Maas directly.

Further information
In Germany, the development of the coronavirus is monitored by the Robert Koch Institute which continuously adjusts the risk assessment. The latest information can be found on the homepage of the Robert Koch Institute at any time.

In addition, the website of the ‘Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu’ (RIVM) also provides up-to-date information, including the situation in the Netherlands.
