In July in the spotlight: Monstera, Bee Friends and Summer Flowers

13 June 2019

Put the flowers and plants of the month of June in the spotlight and inspire your customers. Make use of the photos from the new marketing portal, the image bank, texts, graphics and posters that are provided to you by the Flower Council of Holland for free.

Houseplant of the month
The focus of the `Houseplant of the month´campaign in July is on the Monstera with its tendril stems, mostly impressive aerial roots and young heart-shaped leaves, which get their characteristic incisions with increasing age. The Monstera is actually a liana from Panama and southern Mexico that can climb up to 20 meters high onto trees. The Monstera receives a lot of attention on Instagram and fits perfectly to the theme `Urban Jungle´. Present the Monstera in different sizes with matching home decor in your store and post a photo on Instagram with popular hashtags like #monsterarmy, #aroidaddicts and #monsteramonday.

Garden plant of the month
The `Garden plant(s) of the month´  of July are Bee friends. A flowering garden is a paradise for bees, bumble bees, butterflies and other useful insects. Yarrow (Achilla), Anise hyssop (Agastache), Hollyhock (Alcea), Astrantia and Anemone ensure vitality in the garden and contribute to a healthy biotope in your own neighbourhood. Position the Bee friends in your shop around an insect hotel to underline the importance of the plants.

Flower agenda
In July, the flower agenda focusses on Summer Flowers. The bright colours and expressive forms of the Sunflower (Helianthus), Feverfew (Tanacetum) and Statice (Limonium bunatum) form an exciting trio together. Their volume and shape create exciting bouquets - they are ideal for airy picking bouquets. Bring summer into your home with these three flowers!

Special days calendar
By taking advantage of special days, current campaigns or eye-catching promotions, you can inspire your customers to think of flowers and plants at times other than just birthdays. Be inspired, and inspire your customers. You can find the special day calendar provided by the Flower Council of Holland here.
