“In order to meet the increasing challenges on the market for flowers and plants, intensive exchanges and a joint commitment is essential. We are therefore particularly pleased that, as an official member, we can now once again work even more intensively with other BGI members in and for the sector,” explained Cees Hoekstra, Managing Director of Veiling Rhein-Maas, on the BGI Cut Flowers Day.
In his welcome speech at the BGI Cut Flowers Day, BGI board member Christian Willeke thanked Veiling Rhein-Maas for its hospitality and said: “As an association, we are thrilled to welcome back Veiling Rhein-Maas as a supporting member. There have always been close relationships between the wholesale members of the BGI and Veiling. Many wholesalers are customers of the auction and use some of its services, such as the Clock pre sales or the mediation.”
As part of the BGI Cut Flowers Day, Veiling Rhein-Maas gave participants an insight into the services it offers - from the Clock Service and the webshop to the service centre, which offers a range of tailored services such as product picking or labelling of products with the sales prices. In addition, visitors were given the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes with guided tours of the Cornielje and Green Zone premises on the Herongen site.
