Reliability index (BI)
The trustworthiness of the delivery information is assessed at flower and plant auctions with the BI system ("Betrouwbaarheidsindex", reliability index). At Veiling Rhein-Maas, BI is a basic requirement for trade in ornamental plant products. Please note that the BI value is important for the successful sale of your products, as our customers recognise from the BI value how trustworthy the delivery information is. We have compiled further information for you in the leaflet "Reliability Index (BI) for Suppliers".
Quality complaint from the customer
Veiling Rhein-Maas works according to the "cost causer = cost unit principle". This means that suppliers who cause a complaint must bear the costs for this complaint. The supplier himself is responsible for the correct delivery with correct quality information in accordance with the VBN specifications. The quality controller checks the goods randomly, but is not responsible for the correct information on the watch. The correction is also processed in the supplier's Reliability Index (BI).
VBN Product Specifications
Veiling Rhein-Maas is based on the VBN product specifications (Association of Dutch Flower Auctions). These product specifications are used worldwide and show the requirements for each product group that the respective product must fulfil. These agreements relate to product quality, sorting and packaging of the product and additional information. The product specifications form the basis for quality assurance and make the auction offer transparent for customers. All current VBN product specifications as well as information and photos on the maturity and volume of various products can be found on the VBN website.
