Current information Coronavirus: Omission of testing obligation for customers from the Netherlands, France and Belgium and mask obligation adjustments in the auction room

1 June 2021

Germany and the Robert Koch Institute no longer classify the Netherlands, France and Belgium as high incidence areas. Instead, these countries are now classified as risk areas, what means that the testing obligation for our customers who are resident in the Netherlands, France or Belgium no longer applies.

Therefore, as of now, testing is no longer possible at Veiling Rhein-Maas. In addition, the following persons from risk areas are exempt from the testing obligation with immediate effect: Persons who transport persons, goods or merchandise across borders for professional reasons (up to 72 hours stay) as well as persons who have stayed in a risk area for less than 24 hours in the context of border traffic or who enter the Federal Republic of Germany from a risk area for up to 24 hours.

For more information on entering Germany from a risk area, please visit the website of the Robert Koch Institute.

Mask obligation adjustments in the auction room
On Tuesday, 1 June 2021, we were informed by the Public Order Office of the city of Straelen that as of Wednesday, 2 June 2021, customers who are sitting alone on a bench in the auction room in Straelen-Herongen will no longer be obliged to wear a mask. However, we would like to point out that a mask must be worn as soon as you leave your bench or if you are sitting in pairs on a bench.
